When you pray your spirit connects with God. When you fast God favors you.
God’s Manifestations. Secret 2 Biblical Fasting – what they do not teach in the contemporary church!
Fasting: A neglected discipline
More then 2000 years ago, Jesus came to the help of suffering humanity, working miracles by healing the sick, casting out demons and teaching us the Kingdom of God on earth. Throughout his three and half years of His earthly ministry, this never changed. But the Church, our ‘teachers’ and followers of Jesus have.
The time has come, I believe, to clear away the hurdle of religious traditions, religious politics and self-centered Christian leaders that have obscured the clear revelation of the New Testament.
Note that there are 7 things Jesus did:
- Made disciples
- Preached the word of God
- Prayed
- Fast
- Forgave
- Cast demons
- Heal the sick
So why Christians do not talk about fasting?
So why doesn’t the Church promote fasting?
Have you ever heard a sermon on fasting mention it from the pulpit?
In all my Sunday Church services the answers lies in my own experience as a Christian since I was a child till now. I have not known any Bishop, Elder, Minister, Associate Pastor, Deacon or Chaplain. Have you read any articles on it? Or discussion among your circle? Probably the answer to all these questions is, “No.” Fasting has become a neglected spiritual discipline in the contemporary lifestyle.
There are various reasons for that, but I will get to this later. Let me first of all, tell you how I have come to write about this particular matter.
As I studied Jesus’ words and listened to some excellent preachers on the subject of fasting and prayer, how it has changed their lives personally in every direction. I came to the conclusion that fasting is a valid spiritual exercise for today. I decided that I, too, should practice a fast to experience God in the spirit world to offer my bodily needs as a sacrifice as Jesus and all the prophets like Abraham, Ann, Isaiah and Daniel did. There seems to be a biblical power in it.
I did not want to urge others to do what I was not doing myself. That may seem a weak reason to fast — but one has to start somewhere — and that is where I started! On my second, 22 days water fast. God has set my spirit in motion to serve God in providing biblical fasting retreat for his Kingdom in England.
Why is it Neglected today?
Can you see this missing link between Fasting and the casting out demons? Personally, I see this as evidence of Satan’s forces working intensely in opposition to the ministry of deliverance. If possible, he seeks to exclude fasting altogether from the Church’s program. Failing that, his aim is to discredit it. Can you begin to understand how Satan works over generations to create the illusion of NORM?
The Church.
42 Nevertheless even among the rulers many believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue; 43 for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God. John 12:42-43
One reason fasting has fallen into disuse is our church tradition. Many of you may not fast because it has not been part of your Christian teachings for over 100 years in England. Ministers do not preach about it; no one ever talks about it; few people you know do it. So it has become a lost powerful tool in praying to God.
I should point out that this neglect is widespread in Christian traditions. All of them are familiar with fasting and its benefits. Countries like India, Asia, Singapore; more christians fast then the counter parts in the Western world. It is routinely practised by individuals and churches. Unfortunately here in Britian they say “It’s not necessary as salvation comes through Jesus Christ” Is salvation then given to you? If so, what have you given back to Jesus?
Fear
Afraid of the unknown (to see is to believe).
Afraid of feeling hunger overcoming your body.
Afraid of starting and not finishing.
Afraid of your ego. Why do you fear others’’ disapproval so much? We all experience this fear, and most of us do not want to admit how serious its tyranny can be.
Afraid of fasting alone.
Satan. The enemy gets us all bound up in fearful thoughts, and you will convince yourselves I could never do it. Instead of looking to the Lord for strength and help, you become consumed with your weaknesses and paralyzed by fear. God did not put fear in man, but the first sin did!
Sacrifice.
Another reason for this neglect is that we live in self-indulgent and undisciplined times. People in the Western world are not used to doing without, or waiting for anything. We expect to have our desires immediately satisfied, our pains taken away, our illnesses cured, our injuries healed, and our hunger satisfied — all this as soon as possible! In this climate, it is hardly surprising that fasting has gone out of fashion by the teachers and followers — we are not used to self-control and discipline. Today, Christians are not willing to sacrifice, for they are weak in their spirit. They are slaves to the belly. It’s ironic non christians are catching on the real health benfits of fasting but Christians lack this fundamental knowledge written about 1200 and 165 BC.
In our fasting course you will learn all about Biblical fasting. What you should do and not to do in small groups or individual.
What is Fast and Fasting meaning in the Bible.
“Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him.” John 6:27
When I ask Christians, “Have you fasted?” Some will say yes. Meaning, I have fast from;
- Social media
- Pleasure of sex
- TV
- Celebrity shows and the list goes on.
This is because the teachers of Christians faith have nullified, the truth by ambiguous attachment to the real meaning of fast. No other religion has a problem with the interpretation of the meaning “to fast”!
This may be also because some teachers of the law do not practise fasting and may say, “its not necessary as Jesus died for our sins on the cross” and so conceal the truth. Or it is not necessary in today’s contemporary christians society to do so.
Yes. This is the truth and reality, as I have experienced with Christians and teachers (Pastors) alike.
My wife and I used to go to a church in Aveley Thurrock. We loved the way they sang. Worship the Lord until a new young pastor was appointed. In one of his sermons, he said ‘quote ‘, “In today’s lifestyle, we Christians do not need to fast”. Such an unprofound statement with any tangible proof in the Bible.
I started going to church from a very early age. First in Singapore, then India and now in England. During this period, I cannot recall any sermons preached on ‘Fasting’ or mention of “when you fast”. Soon you will understand how Satan exploits the human mind including believers, Born again Christiants and those who speak in tongues.
So lets get down to the meaning of “to fast”.
We now know to fast its not to fast from social media extra- extra!
Fasting means: Abstinence from food or drink or both for health, ritualistic, religious, or ethical purposes. The abstention may be complete or partial, lengthy, short duration, or intermittent.
So why is fasting called ‘Fast’ in the Bible?: Fasting comes from fast, which in turn has an Old English root, fæsten, “voluntary abstinence from food or drink, especially as a religious duty.” NOT FAST FROM TV…
A linguistical study of the word “fast” reveals its evolution from the original Hebrew word “tsowm,” which literally means “to cover or to close ones mouth.” By strict interpretation, its meaning is to “not eat.” So you see it only means “Close your mouth”. Any other interpretation is of Satan. Satan loves us to keep eating 3 times a day, 7 days of the week lol. The rulers of China turned the faces away from their own people from abuse of opium. So the mass will not resist the Emperor. Generally the masses are happy where they are and not willing to sacrifice just a little!
Jesus Fast – Daniel Fast – Corporate Fast
Do you think: Moses fast, Jesus fast, Daniel fast and Corporate/National Fast are relevant in the 22 century?
If you say ‘NO’, then just bear with me for a while and then make your own decision, but only after you have read this page to the end. Will you do that? Remember in Proverbs 9:10, it says “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.”
If you say ‘Yes’, then put the biblical knowledge into practice. You will experience absolute joy in both your physical body and your spirit, like I did after many fasts. And on each fast I experienced new revelations. God has become my friend, teacher, Master, Lord, King and my heavenly father.
Do you want to experience what thousands have already? And how their lives have changed; in healing, blessings, cleansing of unclean spirit and a deeper connection with God in the spirit realm?
In the Biblical Fasting course, you will discover one of the greatest benefits of fasting, both for the body and your spirit.

Prayers during Fasting. Learn to talk to your heavenly Father, and do not beg!
- First, know to whom you are speaking too. “My dear heavenly Father” — “Our Father who art in heaven”
- Say who you are. I am ….. (your name) your servant. Come to worship you and fast to purify my body. To make this body your temple of the living God.
- Thank God for accepting your presence and blessings. Truly being thankful requires you to look beyond your current circumstances – whether blessings or struggles – and look to God, your true source of blessings.
- Ask for forgiveness
- Ask for God’s will
- Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
Jesus replies to your prayer. “Truly I tell you,” “If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.” Amen
Fasting and prayer go hand in hand
It will be seen by the heavenly bodies and earthy bodies, including Satan and his followers. Heaven will open. God’s angel will praise you. God will answer your prayer,
Prayer and Fasting can transform your prayer life, as I have experienced an abundant and more intimate experience with God. Fasting enables the Holy Spirit to reveal your, true spiritual condition.
Fasting and prayer become obligatory for every child of God. Before you embark on any God-related assignment. You must subject yourself to fasting and prayer as done by our Lord Jesus before He began his ministry here on earth, as recorded by Mathew 4:1
As you begin a fast you must approach God in humility with your hearts in the right place. Read Isaiah 58 as it explains. about true and false fasting.
In your prayers, confess not only obvious sins but less obvious ones as well. Acknowledge the sins of omission (the right actions you have not taken) and the sins of commission (the wrong things you have done).
What is standing in the way of your relationship with God?
What is holding you back from living and loving like Jesus?
It might be;
- Self-centeredness
- Spiritual indifference
- An unwillingness to share your faith with others
- Not putting time spent in prayer and studying God’s Word, low on your priority list
- Struggling to love your neighbors and treat them with kindness.
Confess your shortcomings and ask God to work in your heart during this time of prayer and fasting.
Last, of all keep a journal. Set aside a few minutes daily to write, and draw whatever feels right. Believe it or not, though, some of the world’s greatest leaders were and are regular journal-keepers just like King Ahasuerus (Xerxes 1). He is said to have ruled “from India even unto Nubia, over a hundred and seven and twenty provinces.
Mordecai saved by the King Ahasuerus journal.
Esther 6:1 That night sleep escaped the king, so he ordered the book recording daily events to be brought and read to the king. 2 They found the written report of how Mordecai had informed on Bigthana and Teresh, two eunuchs who guarded the king’s entrance, when they planned to assassinate King Ahasuerus. 3 The king inquired, “What honor and special recognition have been given to Mordecai for this act?”
The king’s personal attendants replied, “Nothing has been done for him.”
Ask yourself who wrote the Bible, and why? Is it a Journal or story book?
Remember the Lord’s Prayer and Meditate during your fast on each statement and the word.
