Dear brothers and sisters
As we embark upon a new year, I would like to take a moment to emphasize the importance of reading and reflecting upon Psalm 1. This beautiful psalm holds deep wisdom and serves as an excellent guide for us as we set our intentions and goals for the year ahead. Let me share with you some verses from Psalm 1 and their significance:
1. “Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers” (Psalm 1:1).
This verse reminds us to be mindful of the company we keep and the influences we allow into our lives. Surrounding ourselves with positive and righteous individuals will help us stay on the right path and maintain our integrity throughout the year.
2. “But whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night” (Psalm 1:2).
Here, we are encouraged to find joy and nourishment in the Word of God. By immersing ourselves in the Scripture daily and meditatively reflecting upon its teachings, we gain wisdom and guidance for every aspect of our lives. Make it a habit to study and meditate on God’s Word regularly, allowing it to shape your thoughts and actions. This is how you will be transformed!
3. “That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers” (Psalm 1:3).
This verse paints a beautiful picture of a person who seeks God’s ways and follows His commands. Just as a well-nourished tree flourishes and bears fruit, those who align themselves with the principles of God’s Word will experience growth, fulfillment, and prosperity in all areas of life.
4. “For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction” (Psalm 1:6).
Finally, this verse reassures us of God’s faithful care and protection. When we choose righteousness and walk in obedience to His commands, we can trust that He will guide and safeguard our paths. By staying connected to Him, we can avoid the pitfalls and destructive paths that lead away from His purposes.
As we begin this New Year together, I encourage each of you to take time to read and reflect upon Psalm 1. Let its timeless wisdom inspire you to make choices that align with God’s will and to seek His guidance in all your endeavors. May this psalm be a source of strength, clarity, and blessing as you navigate the year ahead.
Wishing you a year filled with growth, joy, and God’s abundant blessings.
Sincerely,
Noel Christopher.
